Viewing Help Requests.

Use the Help Requests tab to view help requests submitted to ZippyAssist.

Written by Zack Swindale

By default requests are displayed in pages containing 15 rows, ordered by date and time submitted, with the most recent request shown first.

There are a multitude of ways to filter, sort, and display rows.

You can also export data from the view.

To see the detail of any row, click the expand icon ">" in the request column. The row will expand to show all help request fields with any information provided by the customer.

Reference ID

Each request is assigned a unique Reference ID — a short, human-readable identifier that appears as a column in the request list. You can use the Reference ID to quickly locate a specific request and to cross-reference records across exports, webhook payloads, and other systems you connect to ZippyAssist.

The Reference ID is shared across every record created from the same customer interaction. If a single event produces a help request and an associated refund request, they carry the same reference — so you can trace everything related to that event with one identifier, rather than the reference applying to the refund alone.

Printing and sending requests

You can print a request or email a summary of it to someone directly from the request's actions menu:

  • Print — opens a print-friendly view of the request, including the customer's details and any photo they provided.

  • Send — emails a summary of the request to any address you enter. This is handy for passing a request to a technician or colleague who doesn't work in ZippyAssist.

These actions are available on both help requests and refund requests.
