Filtering in ZippyAssist has been rebuilt. You can now layer precise conditions on any list, combine them with AND/OR logic, and save the result as a view you can return to in one click — or share with your whole team.
Building a filter
Open any list — help requests, refunds, equipment, customers — and add a condition. Each condition has three parts:
Field — what you're filtering on
Operator — how you're comparing it
Value — what you're comparing it to
Add as many conditions as you need and they combine with AND by default, so a row must match all of them. Switch the join to OR and a row only needs to match one.
Available operators
Which operators appear depends on the field you pick.
Operator | Meaning |
is / is not | Matches (or excludes) the values you select |
is set / is not set | The field has a value, or is empty |
contains / excludes | Text appears, or doesn't appear |
starts with / ends with | Text at the beginning or end |
equals | An exact match |
contains any of | Matches any of several values |
greater than / at least | Numbers or dates above a point |
less than / at most | Numbers or dates below a point |
between | Within a range |
Grouping conditions
For anything beyond a flat list, use groups. A group is a bracketed set of conditions with its own AND/OR join, letting you express things like:
Status is Pending AND (Account is Northside OR Account is Southside)
Groups can be nested one level deep, and you can use up to three of them on a single filter.
Limits
Filters are generous but not unlimited:
Limit | Maximum |
Conditions on one filter | 30 |
Groups | 3 |
Nesting depth | 2 levels |
Values in a single condition | 200 |
Saving a view
Once you've built a filter worth keeping, save it.
Build your filter.
Choose Save view.
Give it a name.
Pick the options below.
Save.
View options
Option | What it does |
Scope | Private keeps the view to yourself. Shared makes it available to everyone in your organization. |
Pin as tab | Puts the view on the tab bar above the list for one-click access. |
Save column layout | Stores which columns are shown and in what order, so the view restores your layout too. |
Save date range | Stores the date filter with the view — either a rolling preset like Last 30 days, or fixed dates. |
Sharing requires Owner permission. If you don't have it, your views are private to you. You can still use any view someone else has shared.
A note on date ranges. A rolling preset stays relative — a view saved with Last 30 days always shows the last 30 days from whenever you open it. Fixed dates stay put. Choose the preset for anything you'll check regularly.
Working with views
Tabs
Pinned views appear as tabs above your list. The first tab, All Records, is always there — it's the unfiltered list and can't be edited or removed.
You can pin up to 6 views. Desktop shows 4 pinned tabs alongside All Records; on mobile it's 2. Anything beyond that is still available from the views menu.
Drag tabs to reorder them.
Managing views
From the views menu you can rename a view, duplicate one (handy for building a variation without starting over), delete views you no longer need, and pin or unpin to control what's on the tab bar.
Views are saved per list, so your refund views and your equipment views stay separate.
Ideas worth saving
Needs my attention — refunds with status is Pending, pinned as a tab
Key accounts — help requests where Account Label is Key Account
This month's activity — any list with a Last 30 days date range saved in
Unreviewed equipment — equipment where Needs Review is set
Team queue — requests where Assignee is not set, shared with everyone
