Tag IDs are aimed at making it easier for customers to receive support. Tag ID simplifies the process of reporting issues related to specific machines by allowing for a shortened or simpler number that an operator can place on their sticker.
What is Tag ID?
Tag ID is a concise alias ID that complements the longer Asset ID associated with your machines. It replaces the need to input long identification numbers, making it easier for customers to text in.
How does it work?
Both the Tag ID and the Asset ID will be unique to a piece of equipment. When the customer texts in either of those IDs the system will lookup and attach that equipment information to the request.
By default the Asset ID and the Tag ID are the same.
To add a Tag ID you simply have to go the Equipment tab and click the edit button next to a piece of equipment
Clicking the button on the Asset/Tag ID field will allow you to enter in custom Tag ID for that equipment.
